Labour run Merton Council has expanded pop-up tips so that every neighbourhood in the borough has one near them four times a year. It will help residents dispose of bulky waste conveniently, and tackle fly tipping and illegal dumping.
What you can bring
Recycling: paper and card, drinks cans, glass, plastics (soft)
Small electronic items: such as household hairdryers and toasters, household batteries
Bulky items: such as white goods and furniture
Please don’t bring
Hazardous objects: such as tyres, paint, needles, dangerous chemicals, gas bottles, large sheets of glass (such as mirrors), and asbestos
Commercial or industrial waste: such as building materials and waste oil
Textiles
Non-recyclable household rubbish: garden waste or such as rubbish in black bags
Please bring ID
This event is open to residents of Merton only. Please bring ID: driving licence, Council Tax bill or utility bill.
