All Schools in Merton Rated 'Good' or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted

Merton has reached a significant milestone in educational excellence, with every school in the borough now rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

Hatfeild Primary School in Morden became the latest school to be rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted – making Merton one of just eight local authorities nationwide to have all schools rated ‘Good’ or better.

Inspectors praised Hatfeild as a "nurturing and joyful school," highlighting its commitment to providing a supportive learning environment.

This accomplishment builds upon Labour-run Merton Council's children's services receiving an 'Outstanding' rating in 2022, and Merton Labour’s committment to ensure our borough is a place where children and young people feel they belong, stay safe and can thrive.

Councillor Sally Kenny, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills, and Education, and Councillor for Lower Morden said:

"This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our educators, learners, parents and carers and the entire community of professionals that work with our schools

I’m so pleased that our schools are delivering a fantastic education to our young residents, setting them up with the skills and knowledge to thrive in life.

Congratulations to Hatfeild Primary School and all schools across Merton for this wonderful achievement”
